Herm. Jansen Söhne GmbH elevate their techniques in this intricate wooden table with glass inlay project

Herm. Jansen Söhne GmbH, based in Mönchengladbach, Germany, is a multi-generational company known for delivering professional services with consistently clean and polished results. Whether the project involves interior or exterior work, they pride themselves on providing high-quality services at fair prices. Their offerings include glazing, shower cabins, stained-glass, all-glass applications, glass repairs, and church restorations.

Over the past three years, they have completed numerous projects using their Proliner Glass package and Factory Draw Advanced software. True to their promises, they deliver top-notch glasswork and paintwork that make both interiors and exteriors shine.

In this project, Mr. Torsten Jansen demonstrated the impeccable finish achieved for a wooden coffee table with a glass inlay. He shared his insights, explaining the techniques and craftsmanship involved:

“A customer brought me a tree slice that was hollow inside and wanted to cover the hollow area with a glass plate. In this specific case, without the Proliner, a highly precise digital measuring device, it would have been impossible for me to accept the job. Creating a paper template would have not only taken a lot of time but also would not have provided the necessary accuracy to capture the exact contours of the hollow area.”

He added, “Previously, such projects were often associated with a higher susceptibility to errors because traditional methods for measuring and capturing shapes and contours had their limitations. Creating templates or manual measuring often led to inaccuracies and difficulties in executing complex designs. However, with the Proliner, we can conduct precise digital measurements, allowing us to capture even the most challenging shapes and structures accurately.

This opens new possibilities in glass product design and construction, allowing us to offer customized solutions previously limited by technical constraints. These improvements enhance our work quality, expand our services, and make us a reliable partner for demanding projects. For me, the Proliner is not just a tool but a versatile instrument that brings me joy, whether I’m on-site or at the computer.

Mr. Jansen was very enthusiastic to share his joy about working with the Proliner when editing with the software Factory Draw Advance. About this, he concluded: “Even when I am at the PC converting the measured data into complex workpieces, the Proliner is a source of joy. The seamless integration of measurement data into CAD software allows me to implement creative ideas and develop customized solutions for my customers. Bringing a handcrafted workpiece to life digitally with the Proliner is incredibly satisfying. This tool supports my passion for craftsmanship, helping me realize my full potential. Its versatility, precision, and user-friendliness make it indispensable and a constant source of inspiration and joy.“
